The Beginning
In 1997, Trustway Homes was asked by a Fox Point homeowner to remodel their older home. The owner had a room that was not functional. It had been remodeled many years prior and was not being used due to the design. Also, the outside living area was not being properly utilized.
 Trustway re-designed the room, creating a barreled ceiling with arched transoms and windows, while creating two different and distinct spaces in the room. The original home was built around 1915 and had exquisite millwork. Trustway created new knives to produce casing and base that matched the original millwork in the home. When completed, the room had the same feel as the remainder of the home that had been constructed many years earlier. In addition, a deck with a pergola was designed and built which created a much more interesting and functional space for outdoor living.
Stone and Banister
 With that first remodel project, Stone and Banister LLC was created. Over the years, Trustway Homes had often received calls inquiring if we performed remodeling. After the success of the Fox Point project, it was strategically decided to officially create a remodeling company using the strengths of Trustway Homes to offer a discernable difference in the remodeling market place.
Today
Stone and Banister has already made an impression in the market place. Many of our customers have told us they had a fear of remodeling due to the horror stories they have so often heard.
 But once the remodeling project started, they were impressed with the quality of the craftsmen, the progress of the job and the professionalism extended during the project.
